Step 9 — Overlapping Robot Executions

Even though the robot itself runs without errors, scheduled execution of the robot can give errors. We will change the schedule to start the robot so often that it does not have the time to finish execution before being started again.

In the “Schedules” tab, click the button in the “Edit” column. This tab contains a lot of columns, and you may have to make your browser window rather wide — or scroll sideways — to see the column. In the “Edit Tip schedule” dialog that appears, change the schedule to run every 3 seconds and click Save.

You will notice in the “Scheduler Logs” tab that approximately 2 out of 3 scheduled executions are now being logged because the robot already is running (it runs for around 9 seconds).

Scheduler Log with Errors

This tab will soon be filled with error messages, and will use a paged display mode to limit the amount of information. You can select (in the top) how may lines to display on each page — the height of the browser window is not taken into account. In the bottom area you can select which page to display. Use the widget in the top of the table to get rid of old messages. This kind of paged display is used on almost all the tabs.
